Mosquito traps for mining environments

The Mosquito Slayer is the first mosquito trap to use ten different lures to attract and kill mosquitoes. A range of proven attractants incorporated into a single compact unit mimic signals given off by humans, animals and birds to attract female mosquitoes.

When the mosquitoes draw close to the trap, circulating air forces them into a collection tray of solution where they drown.

A number of factors will influence trap catches such as placement of the trap, operation times and seasonal and environmental conditions. No trap will totally clear a neighbourhood of mosquitoes, however our Mosquito Slayers are tailored to specific requirements and can significantly reduce mosquito populations in defined areas, reducing the risk of mosquito-borne disease.

Mosquito and biting midge traps

The Mosquito SlayerPRO is a large-capacity, commercial mosquito and biting midge trap. It is ideal for large areas as it uses a suite of scientifically proven attractants to trap female mosquitoes and midges - the ones that bite. The unit comes with an all-weather transformer with 10m electrical cord (12V) and a CO2 modulator 38. A 1m gas connection hose with all gas bottle required fittings is also supplied with the unit.

The Mosquito Slayer series 4 (gas) dispenses a controlled flow of carbon dioxide from our revolutionary gas regulator hose, which connects to a bottle of carbon dioxide. The unit comes with an all-weather transformer with 5m (12V) electrical cord and a CO2 modulator 38. A 1m gas connection hose with all gas bottle required fittings is also supplied with the unit.

Non-gas mosquito traps

The Mosquito Slayer standard unit is a non-gas trap. This unit can be easily upgraded to dispense a controlled flow of carbon dioxide with the additional purchase of our revolutionary CO2 gas modulator and hose kit, which connects to a bottle of carbon dioxide. This unit comes with an all-weather transformer with 5m electrical cord (12V). The modulator and gas hose and bottles are not included but should be purchased separately.

The Mosquito Slayer series 4 (satellite) unit is also a non-gas trap. This unit is powered by extension cord from a series 4 standard or series 4 gas, which can be purchased separately.

Gas modulators and bottle supplies

Our CO2 gas modulator three-pack changes the continuous flow of CO2 coming from our gas regulator hose into intermittent plumes for better catch rates of host-seeking female mosquitoes and midges. The pack contains three modulators (three months supply).

The Mosquito Slayer CO2 gas bottle supplies CO2 gas under pressure to the gas regulator hoses in the gas units as above. These come in a range of sizes for different needs.

Mosquito management systems

Consumers should note that environmental conditions (e.g. air temperature and wind), placement of a device (with its chemical attractants) in various parts of an outdoor area, or other factors are likely to determine the effectiveness or lack thereof and thus determine the user's overall experience with any particular trapping device.

Due to the variableness of catches, M-Tech does not guarantee that any of its traps will make equal catches.
