The majority of mining sites throughout Australia currently meet their medical risk assessment by providing industrial medics or contracted staff from their relevant ambulance authority as their emergency response personnel. Industrial medics are often sourced from current mining staff trained only in first aid or with a six to ten-day certificate course such as EMT or industrial medic, making them nowhere near as qualified as full-time ambulance service personnel, especially those trained in rescue.

Remote-area medical and rescue equipment

Immediate Assistants has extensive knowledge of and experience in using the latest medical and rescue equipment. From the constitution of the individual emergency medical packs, equipping of medical centres, ambulances (two and four-wheel drive) and evacuation helicopters/vessels, a complete service is provided.

Remote-area mobile medical centres

Immediate Assistants provides the complete solution for the provision of all onsite medical services utilizing existing buildings or a temporary/permanent mobile medical centre (MMC). These are an ideal solution for a remote medical centre, ready for delivery and ready-to-use.

An MMC offers a two-bed clinic and patient-waiting area. It is fully stocked with advanced life support facilities, oxygen, cardiac defibrillators and spinal equipment. It includes internal and external lighting, air conditioning, onboard power, water and hazardous waste facilities, a detachable side canopy with all-weather enclosure and a comprehensive communications suite.
