On 2 January the Brückner Holding Gesmbh and the Seebach GmbH formed the joint venture Brückner Seebach Filter Solutions India Pvt Ltd, with its head office in Pune, India.

The official inauguration ceremony was held at the PlastIndia in February. “It is our goal to provide the Asian market with German quality standard filter systems and filter elements,” said Uwe P Thönniss, general manager of Brückner Servtec GmbH, the service division within the Brückner Group, and Dr Thomas Grimm-Bosbach, general manager of Seebach GmbH.

The joint venture will produce filter elements with Seebach’s state-of-the-art production methods for the Asian market in the sectors of polymer production, oil production and refinement, general industry and mining. Within its sales and service organisation Brückner will be responsible for the sale of those products for Brückner, Barmag and Cellier Film lines worldwide, as well as for all other film stretching lines that are being serviced by Brückner Servtec GmbH.

Brückner said: “The application of filtration solutions that are individually optimised for customers’ purposes is an essential part of reducing the downtimes, as well as a long-term constant flow-rate.”

Seebach said: “With this joint venture we came across a market niche in the Asian region as there are hardly any competitors who can combine low production costs with excellent process know-how.”

The production facilities are being built. The goal is to start production in the fourth quarter of 2009. Shrikrishna Amlekar, general manager of the joint venture, said: “The aim of the joint venture is to establish itself as a one-stop product and service provider.”

At PlastIndia the new company attracted great interest. The quality level and local production attracted many existing and potential customers. They also demanded that the company add a high-quality filter cleaning to its product and service portfolio. This is being checked in the head offices of the mother companies.

The Brückner Group in Siegsdorf, with its technologically sophisticated and promising products, is a world leader in the sector of machinery and plant engineering. The main focuses are complete manufacturing facilities and turnkey plants for the processing of polymers.

Seebach is one of the leading producers of high-quality filtration solutions for the mining, machine, automotive and aircraft industries, as well as for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and many other sectors.
