“It’s business as usual at Roymec Technologies,” says sales director Hoosen Essack. “The independent and privately owned ten-year old company continues its successful operations from its Johannesburg offices.”

The company has had an association with materials handling company Roymec (Pty) which was recently bought by F.L.Smidth, and there seems to be some confusion in the marketplace regarding Roymec Technologies.

Essack states: “Roymec Technologies continues to service the industrial and mining sector with the supply of tailor made filtration and separation solutions, and process equipment. The recent purchase arrangement has not affected the ownership or operation of Roymec Technologies.

“We continue to guarantee our client base in all 25 countries that we have supplied equipment to of our fullest commitment and highest service levels. In fact we are staffing up to cope with the predicted upswing of the mining and metals sector where we do the bulk of our business.”

Essack comments that the company is at the point of formally announcing the realisation of over a years’ worth of research that will dramatically enhance its thickening and screening equipment performance and provide significant cost and operating benefits for its clients.

Roymec Technologies is a supplier of thickeners, vacuum filters, horizontal linear screens, flocculant and reagent plants, SX dual media filters, ion exchange systems, resin elution systems, clarifiers, filter presses and segmented tank systems.
