Outokumpu Technology has been awarded a further contract at Boddington Gold Mine for the delivery of the complete thickening circuit at the Boddington expansion project in Australia. This latest thickening contract follows an earlier order for the complete flash flotation circuit. Boddington Gold Mine is jointly owned by Newmont and AngloGold Ashanti.

Outokumpu Technology's scope in this latest design and supply project comprises four thickeners, the largest being a 74m SUPAFLO® high rate thickener. The thickeners were selected due to Boddington's requirement for handling of the high throughput.

Almost all components for Boddington will be sourced from Australian suppliers. Delivery is scheduled for May 2007.

Outokumpu Technology is recognized as a global leader in both flotation and thickening processes. "Once again we won this latest contract in the face of international competition because of our experience and technical know-how. We also provide strong local expertise to assist with installation and commissioning, full technical support, spare parts and offer comprehensive training packages to enable clients to optimize the performance and efficiency throughout the life of the equipment," said Richard Triglavcanin, Outokumpu Technology's Global Technology Manager - Thickeners.
