11 October 2006 10:38

SALT LAKE CITY, USA, 11 October, 2006 - Dorr-Oliver Eimco, the Process Group of the Canadian-based company Groupe Laperrière & Verreault Inc., announced it has been awarded contracts for over $50 million (CAD) in flotation projects during the last quarter. The projects include five major projects for a variety of applications including Oil Sands, Copper, Gold, Platinum, and lead/Zinc.

Dorr-Oliver Eimco continues to be the leader in the flotation field with supply of both Wemco® and Dorr Oliver® flotation cells. According to Frank Traczyk, Global Product Manager for Dorr-Oliver Eimco, "The success in the flotation market over the past few years is attributed to the ability to provide either aspirated or forced-air technology or a combination of the two. This allows us to provide the best technical solution for the customer."

In addition, the successful start up of the ten 257-cubic meter cells at Los Pelambres in Chile has led to an additional order for 22 of the super large cells. The 257-cubic meter Wemco® SmartCell™ is the largest operating cell in the world.
