ECS PARTICULATE FILTER SYSTEMS

ECS Particulate filter systems employ cordierite and silicon carbide monolithic substrates which afford typically greater than 90% Particulate Matter (PM) reduction. ECS is pleased to offer modular particulate filter designs which feature 300 series stainless steel construction and are ideal for heavy-duty and severe duty mining markets.

Particulate filters feature:

• 360° rotation of inlet and outlet sections for ease of installation and superior fit
• Interchange of Unikat Combifilter and Cattrap components to optimize application performance
• Ease of filter removal for periodic servicing of the filter element and removal of ash

UNIKAT COMBIFILTER™ (VERT APPROVED) DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER SYSTEM

The Unikat Combifilter is an actively regenerated diesel particulate filter system. The filtered particles (soot) are stored in the filter and, at least once a shift or workday, the vehicle is connected to a wall-mounted regeneration station.

Unikat Combifilter features:

• Silicon carbide particulate filter for enhanced durability
• Regeneration in eight hours (model K) or 40 minutes (model S)
• Effective control of odor, Carbon Monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) emissions when used with AZ diesel oxidation catalyst
• Function independent of exhaust temperature
• Extended interval between regenerations when used with Cattrap passively regenerating particulate filter
• A 25 year record of proven performance

CATTRAP™ PASSIVELY REGENERATED DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER SYSTEM

The ECS Cattrap is a passively regenerated diesel particulate filter system that was specifically developed for the needs of mining operations in 1992. The filtered diesel particulate is stored in the filter and combusted during periods of higher exhaust temperature.

Cattrap features:

• Corning EX80 cordierite particulate filter technology
• No increase in toxic NO2 emissions due to an advanced base metal soot ignition catalyst
• Passive regeneration for duty cycles where exhaust temperatures higher than 380°C to 420°C occur for more than 25% of the duty cycle
• Guaranteed controlled filter regeneration when used with Unikat Combifilter parts

SEVERE DUTY AZ PURIFIERS AND PURIMUFFLERS™

Demanding applications require products that outperform general aftermarket grade diesel purifiers. AZ quick release purifier and severe duty Purimuffler designs are ideal for demanding applications in mining. AZ Purifiers and Purimufflers have been certified under the US EPA urban bus retrofit/rebuild program, the US EPA Voluntary Retrofit program for two-stroke and four-stroke diesel engines and the Sweden Environmental Zones Program.

AZ Severe Duty Purifiers and Purimufflers feature:

• Effective control of CO and HC emissions
• PM reductions of 20% to 40%
• Improved low temperature performance due to unique zeolite washcoat
• Maintenance-free servicing under normal operating conditions

In addition, AZ Severe duty Purimufflers feature:
