Mine lighting towers

PROMAC offers the ProLite 75S range of lighting towers for mines, which have been designed for Australian conditions and are equipped with class-leading features, ensuring safety, reliability and exceptional performance. ProLite 75S lighting towers have the following features:

Mine-specific lighting towers

The ProLite 75S lighting tower has a range of mine-specific features, including a 120l fully-bunded fuel tank, an emergency stop feature, wheel chocks, a fire extinguisher, reflective markings and safety decals, a revolving beacon, and a jump-start receptacle. The lighting tower’s dimensions are 2.14m (height), 1.82m (width) and 4.74m (length). It weighs 1,780kg.

ProLite 75S lighting towers have a wide variety of built-in safety features, including the following:

Safety-compliant mine lighting towers

ProLite 75S lighting towers are compliant with the relevant Australian safety and quality standards. This includes Mines Safety & Inspection Regulations 1995, AS2790 (transportable generator sets), AS3713 (noise level emissions), AS3000 (electrical wiring rules), AS3010.1 (supply by generator set), and AS1170.2 (wind loading criteria).

Diesel generators for mining applications

PROMAC has designed a range of generating sets. The Nugen range of diesel generators includes machines from 5kVA to 2,000kVA, all equipped with the best quality components. Powered by Kubota or Perkins engines and Stamford alternators and fitted with Deif controllers, we can provide the right machine for you. The high-quality generators are compact, efficient, and cleaner and quieter than previous models.

Each generator supplied is fully compliant with Australian standards and ready to work. As operator and machine safety is paramount, all Nugen generators have lockable isolators, emergency stops, safety signage, guards on moving parts and fully bunded fuel tanks. Other standard features include 24-hour fuel tanks, lockable control panel access and 50° radiator systems.

15kVA to 2,000kVA-powered mine generating sets

PROMAC offers a range of mine diesel generators with sound-attenuated enclosures, designed for the Kubota / Stamford range (15kVA to 36kVA) and the Perkins / Stamford range. Standard features include a 24-hour fuel tank, a weatherproof control panel door, a Deif control system (GC-IF+B3), a 50° radiator system, a battery isolator (CAT single pole-type), a fully bunded fuel tank, and a full set of safety decals.

The Nugen generators have a robust steel body, heavy-duty locks and hinges, and zinc-plated or stainless-steel fasteners, and are sandblasted and painted in two-pack paint.

Mine generator safety and security features

The Nugen generators have a range of safety and security features, including a lockable control-panel with a viewing window, an emergency stop button (IP66 rated), a fully guarded cooling fan and battery-charging alternator, an exhaust silencing system totally enclosed for safety, a fuel fill and battery location behind a locked door, and access to bus bar protected by a shutdown limit switch.

Mine generator serviceability

The Nugen mine generators can be easily accessed via large doors on either side. In addition, there is easy radiator-fill access on the top of the unit, a lube oil extraction pump for the engine, and easy access to all filters.
