NLT has been developing innovative lighting products for the underground market for over twenty years. As the first company to introduce dry-cell battery technology to the cap lamp, NLT is steeped in a history of innovation. Today NLT offers a complete line of high-quality miner's cap lamps and charging systems.

GII LiLED

NLT's latest innovation is the GII LiLED. This product incorporates LED and Lithium Ion (liIon) technology into its reliable and durable GII miner's cap lamp. The GII LiLED is the lightest and brightest cap lamp available, and provides the lowest cost of ownership.

GIII RADIO CAP LAMP

NLT has also incorporated this LED and lithium ion technology into its other Northern Light® products. These include the Northern Light® GIII Radio Cap Lamp - which packages a Motorola radio inside a Northern Light® cap lamp, providing the quality, durability and superior performance of two products in one - and also the GII PTO, a cap lamp that can power a secondary load.

WIRELESS NETWORKS FOR UNDERGROUND COMMUNICATIONS

Building on the solid reputation of NLT's lighting solutions, Northern Light Digital™ was launched in 2004 to focus on designing and implementing digital communication systems.

The Northern Light Digital™ network is today's ultimate solution for underground communications. Based on the Ethernet network standard, the Northern Light Digital™ network is a true open-standards network. This means that distinct, multiple purpose-built networks can be converged onto a single network. The Northern Light Digital™ network can also integrate with legacy systems to protect prior technology investments.

The Northern Light Digital™ network supports any IP-enabled device. NLT has a complete line of communication devices, including two-way text messaging, VoIP, personnel and asset tracking.
