Australian owned and in the mining business for 60 years, Gilbert Gray & Co is a leading supplier of miner's caplamps and caplamp charging equipment in Australia, PNG, Fiji and New Zealand.

Oldham caplamps are available in a wide range of models, from the well proven GT lead acid / halogen bulb range through to the lightweight, high-performance DL16 LiIon / LED caplamp. All Oldham caplamps are certified for coal mine use to required IECEx and ANZEx standards.

Gilbert Gray & Co also supplies a comprehensive range of GILGRAY miner's belts and caplamp battery pouches.

Oldham DLi cordless lamps

The Oldham DLi cordless caplamp is a cordless lithium-ion lamp with an LED light source. It provides 12 hours of operation at full power and its sealed design means that it requires no maintenance.

Oldham DL16 caplamps

The Oldham DL16 high-performance caplamp features:

Compatibility

Batteries and headpieces across the Oldham range are fully compatible and interchangeable. This allows an economic phasing in of new LiIon and LED technologies to existing Oldham caplamp equipment.

Adaptability - tracking, tagging and collision avoidance

Gilbert Gray & Co has worked with a number of prominent communications companies, operating in Australia to adapt and accommodate tracking, tagging and collision avoidance systems to Oldham caplamps.

This gives mine owners the opportunity to upgrade existing Oldham caplamp installations to modern communication systems without the need to replace caplamps and charging racks.

It also provides the opportunity for new and expanding mines to enjoy the benefits of Oldham caplamps and greater flexibility in choosing a communications system to suit their individual requirements.

GILGRAY charging equipment

GILGRAY charging equipment, installed in almost every lamp room in Australia, is reliable, durable and provides many options.

Sizes range from single lamp capacity up to 102 lamps for large mine installations, and can include self rescuer storage below each lamp position. Each charging point carries dual programs and can be set individually to charge L16 Type, LiIon battery or T Megalight lead acid batteries.

Miner's belts and pouches

The GILGRAY range of miner's belts, battery and self rescuer pouches has been designed to be practical, durable and comfortable to wear - and look good. Seams are both stitched and riveted for extra strength, and double riveted in high stress areas.

Battery pouches include additional attachments to allow tradesmen to carry screw drivers and pliers.

Ornamental miner's lamps

Fully functional ornamental miner's oil lamps are supplied in a beautiful presentation cylinder, accompanied by a short history and certificate. They are individually numbered and available in four different finishes.
