Levanto - Diamond Drilling Tools, Mining Exploration and Geotechnical Research

Diamond drilling and mining exploration tools have been Levanto’s core business since the company was founded in 1937. Initially, Levanto specialised in diamond core bits, manufacturing these and other tools used by the stone industry; mainly for mining exploration and geotechnical research.

From the 1950’s onwards, the company’s activities have been expanding. Levanto has acquired foreign representations and today produces a broad range of reliable tools for the construction and stone industries.

DIAMOND DRILLING EQUIPMENT

Levanto provides diamond drilling tools especially for Scandinavian markets. The company utilises a long experience and know-how in the area in the production of robust solutions for the diamond mining industry.

The thickness of the ground surface in Scandinavia is approximately 6m, before starting the actual rock drilling. The thickness of the surface and the variation of how the diamond core bits are elapsed create challenges when surface drilling.

Levanto has responded to these challenges by creating a quality GD. The GD quality is industry-recognised within the Scandinavian markets and fulfils the customers' demands.

M-QUALITY DIAMOND CORE BITS

For rock drilling, Levanto provides its traditional M-quality diamond core bits. There is a wide range of alternatives available for different formations in quality M. In order to meet the specific requirements and demands of its customers, Levanto continuously implements development work closely with the customers, for example by taking part in field testing.

Levanto has recently launched a new type of diamond core bits based on the demands of today's mining industry. This ongoing production of new diamond core bits is based partly on a new manufacturing technology.

DIAMOND CASING BITS

The company's production program is certified in accordance to international standards, and Levanto offers its customers a wide selection of diamond core bits, casing shoes, casing bits and reaming shells.

Levanto’s headquarters are located in Kauniainen, Finland with production and sales offices on site. Levanto has a subsidiary, Levanto Diamond Tools AB in Sweden and partial ownerships in Scan-Diamant AS in Norway.

The sales network also includes distributors in Denmark, Russia, Estonia and the Middle East. Levanto's professional personnel are motivated and service-minded; its services include finding the right solution for the customer, including customisation of its products when required.
