McQuaid Engineering have extended their MQ range of selector and demolition attachments with the launch of a new heavy-duty uni grab.

The latest addition is the HL3045 Selector Grab, intended for use on 30t to 45t excavators. There are two versions of the product: the 2,600kg two jaw option and the 3,500kg three and two tine option.

The MQ HL3045 model is designed to be suitable for many applications including rock armour, log handling, demolition and general waste sorting. The HL3045 two jaw opens to a width of 2,450mm to provide ample jaw capacity for various demolition applications. Likewise the three and two tine opens at 2,700mm. The jaws are powered by two heavy-duty cylinders (housed within the body for optimum protection), which maximises the grab’s closing force.

Manufactured from hardened steel, the HL3045 is completed with hard steel bushes and pins throughout, which are low-maintenance and hard-wearing. Excellent stability and durability is achieved through its robust construction.

Sales director Paul McQuaid said: “As well as being a strong and hard-wearing piece of equipment, the HL3045 helps increase productivity as the slewing mechanism is powered by an over-sized slew-ring system, providing a 360° hydraulic rotation unit. This allows precise control and accurate positioning of the attachment, which then speeds up work progress.”

McQuaid Engineering offers a wide range of selector grabs that can be used for the handling and processing of demolition, construction, timber, aggregate and domestic materials.
