McQuaid Engineering manufactures and supplies a range of attachments for the mining, quarrying, construction, and recycling industries. The company specialises in the manufacture of both pedestal rock breaker booms and mobile rock breaker booms, which are designed to fit all makes and models of mobile crushers, as well as all types of stationary crushers, for the purpose of eliminating blockage and bridging problems on crushers.

McQuaid’s product portfolio also includes a range of excavator mounted attachments, including demolition grabs, waste grabs, scrap grabs and rock grapples that are all designed for the purpose of handling and processing a variety of waste materials.

Pedestal rock breaker boom systems

McQuaid provides a range of MQ pedestal rock breaker boom systems, designed for use on jaw, impact, cone and gyratory crushers, as well as other applications such as breaking oversized material on the grizzly.

McQuaid’s range consists of a variety of models with a horizontal reach of 3m to 9m and is manufactured from the highest quality materials to withstand the toughest of applications, while ensuring safety and increased production. Both 180° and 360° slew systems are available to enable increased versatility and mounting position options.

Hydraulic breakers, power units, operating controls, steelwork and installation

In addition to its boom systems, McQuaid supplies hydraulic breakers, power units, operating controls (manual and remote), steelwork and installation.

Mobile rock breaker boom systems

McQuaid’s MQ mobile boom systems are specifically designed for mobile crusher applications. Their compact dimensions enable the boom to remain on the crusher during transport, thus eliminating down-time on site for assembly and disassembly.

The MQ range of mobile boom systems, which consists of eight models with horizontal reach of 1.9m to 5.4m, can be integrated onto all makes and models of mobile crushers. As a general rule, the boom is powered directly from the mobile crusher’s own hydraulic system, therefore eliminating the need in most cases for a separate hydraulic power supply.

To date, McQuaid’s mobile booms have been successfully installed onto a wide range of mobile crushers worldwide, including Kleemann, Terex-Finlay, Terex-Pegson, Extec, Metso/Nordberg, Hartl-Crushtek, Hartl-Powercrusher, Parker, Tesab, Gipo and Continentail Nord. McQuaid are the preferred suppliers to mobile crusher manufacturers such as Kleemann, Terex-Finlay and Terex-Pegson.

Excavator-mounted mechanical and hydraulic attachments

The MQ range of excavator-mounted mechanical and hydraulic attachments are designed for use on 1.5t – 45t machines to process and handle a variety of materials, including construction waste, demolition waste, scrap, timber, rail, tyres and domestic waste materials.

McQuaid’s range of excavator-mounted mechanical and hydraulic attachments includes:
