SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (December 7, 2006) - GROUPE LAPERRIERE & VERREAULT (GL&V) closed a definitive agreement on December 4, acquiring all the share capital of KREBS INTERNATIONAL INC. (KREBS ENGINEERS) based in Tucson, Arizona, its engineering offices, and its six subsidiary companies around the world.

Krebs Engineers ("Krebs") is well recognized as the world’s leading supplier of hydrocyclone technology to the ore processing industry and has been since 1950. Krebs’ core business is focused on the design and marketing of hydrocyclone liquid/solid separation systems and centrifugal slurry pumps. During the past five years, Krebs has also introduced several hydrocyclone products in the energy sector, where they are used in oil & gas and oil sands operations as well as by refineries and coal-fired power stations. Krebs currently has an installed base of over 150,000 hydrocyclone systems operating around the world.

In 1999, Krebs introduced the millMAX pump, a heavy-duty centrifugal slurry pump which has a unique patented design developed exclusively for grinding mill discharge duties and other abrasive slurries. In addition to the minerals processing industry, Krebs sells its horizontal slurry pumps in the oil sands, coal, alumina, aggregate, power, and industrial minerals sectors, as well as in various other sectors.

GL&V will operate Krebs along side the other member of its Process Group, Dorr-Oliver Eimco, which specializes in liquid/solid separation equipment. Both Krebs Engineers and Dorr-Oliver Eimco will operate independently yet they will be able to leverage each other’s strengths with a combined and extensive range of proven products, highly respected trademarks, and a large installed worldwide equipment base.

The acquisition of Krebs consolidates GL&V’s global positioning as a leading supplier to the buoyant minerals processing industry, while also enhancing its position in targeted segments of the energy sector, including oil sands, and coal processing.
