Large Material Handling Order to FLSmidth in Russia

FLSmidth MVT has signed an order worth just under EUR 47 million (DKK 350m) for a complete material handling equipment package for a new 5,500t per day cement production line. The equipment will be supplied to a cement plant in Russia, to which FLSmidth is also supplying main machinery.
The order includes crushing station, overland pipe conveyors, limestone pre-blending pit, correctives stacker, portal reclaimer, train unloading stations, coal circular storage and belt conveyor system.
New and innovative storage concepts allow the customer to save money on their side, while the pipe conveyor transport system allows environmental friendly transport of materials, as all transporting ways and storages are covered in order to protect the environment.
Group CEO Jørgen Huno Rasmussen comments: "Our unique combination of products to a complete solution was the decisive factor for awarding this contract to FLSmidth. Our broad offering in material handling now enables us to supply complete material handling solutions to both cement and minerals processing plants."
The contract will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until the last equipment has been supplied in 2009.
