04 August 2008

FLSmidth Minerals has signed a contract worth $47 million (DKK 220m) with Teghout cjsc for the supply of primary comminution and classification equipment for the production of copper molybdenum.

The plant, which is situated 200km north of Armenia's capital Yerivan, is the second-largest copper molybdenum deposit in the country.

The contract includes the supply of one SAG mill, one ball mill, two crushers, hydrocyclones and two complete millMax pumps. With this equipment, the plant's feed capacity will be 900t per hour.

Teghout cjsc is owned by the Vallex Group and is affiliated with Armenian Copper Programme cjsc.

"This is our second major minerals order in Armenia within 24 months. The order confirms FLSmidth's strength and successful combination of in-house leading technology and demonstrates our customers' appreciation of the "One Source One Partner" concept," group chief executive officer Jørgen Huno Rasmussen comments.

The order will contribute beneficially to FLSmidth's earnings until the equipment has been supplied in the second half of 2010.
