METHANE SHUTDOWN SYSTEMThe current version of our diesel vehicle methane shutdown system for underground diesel vehicles has been specifically designed to meet the latest coal mining regulations. Current model includes extensive diagnostics, build-in LCD display, infrared gas monitoring, wide alternator voltage battery charging, self-resetable overvoltage protection, water ingress protection, four wire CAN bus, safety certified temperature shutdown and inherently reliable deputy override detection. BROADBAND POWER LINE MODEMThe Broadband Power Line Modem (BPLM) revolutionises underground mining communication. It delivers technologically advanced, operationally reliable and conceptually simple high speed transmission of data between the underground machinery and above ground control systems using industrial power lines. Specifically designed for underground mining and tunnelling environment, the BPLM incorporates modulation, demodulation and error control coding methods developed for the power line cables. SPOOL MONITORS - INTRINSICALLY SAFE MONITORING SYSTEMSA pump start-up without monitoring of initial valve position can cause property damage or personal injury. NTMS has developed a valve position monitoring system to provide controllable equipment start-up process. NTMS spool monitor will indicate the position of the key valve spool with high degree of accuracy and will provide the machine operator and/or control system with data that will allow predictable machine start-up procedure. CONTACTLESS IDENTIFICATION TAGGING - RFIDEmployee safety and controlled equipment usage are a major concern to all organisations. It is with this in mind that NTMS has developed a personal read and write identification tagging system. With the tagging in place an organisation can fully control an access to the plant's equipment giving the right to use it only to trained personnel. The development of personal read and write identification tags demonstrates NTMS' commitment to the ongoing improvement in coal mining equipment safety and automation. CANOPEN IS SENSORS - HAZARDOUS AREA SENSORSNTMS is developing a family of hazardous area intrinsically safe sensors specifically to cover the underground rubber-tyre machine shutdown systems. Sensor consists of a graphical display (local gauge) and a fault tolerant CAN interface. CANopen protocol allows for simple interfacing with multi-vendor products, such as PLCs or electronic gauges. Sensor communication is based on fault tolerant CAN drivers which will operate without terminating resistors, with one wire open circuit or one wire shorted to power / ground wire. DIESEL FLP ELECTRONIC PACKAGENTMS in partnership with EPS Pty Ltd is currently undergoing full development of electronic components for hazardous area Zone 1 (coal mining) to suit CAT C7 and C9 diesel engines.
