marco - Longwall Control Systems, Electrohydraulic Valves for Roof Supports

Our products are ideal for use in underground longwall mining to reach fully automated roof support control and high efficient longwall systems. We will install a prototype system for you, activate it, and ensure that our products are up and running in your environment as quickly as possible.

Our products are designed for all sorts of tasks such as shield leg cylinder lowering, setting (automatic positive set), ram cylinder advancing, shield moving, shield cycling, also base lift cylinder, stabilizing cylinder or canopy cylinder adjusting, pusher and flipper steering, batch control, group automatic functions. They are also suitable for any other movement you may require for shields and conveyor depending from cutting machines position or from parameters you may adjust.

PM32 CONTROLLER

The basis of our products is our pm32 roof support controller and our small hydraulic main block with solenoid pilot valves. The devices are designed together with our sensors, our shield leg and check and yield valves for use in underground mining in harsh environment and are approved and intrinsically safe for use in methane-gassy coal mines.

marco systems are operating in roof supports of any manufacturer worldwide, either in new or even in retrofitted units, even in combinations of supports from different manufacturers in shearer and plough longwalls, and also fit into top-coal-caving systems and into low seam environments (0.5m to 0.8m).

SENSORS AND TRANSDUCERS

Our new sensors are our digital pressure and our ceramic modular transducer. The high conversion rate of the transmitter/receiver heads, short fall time, high band-width have great advantages in the areas of level measuring techniques while analyzing leg pressure, roof convergence or coal cutting vibration. Here too, marco supplies custom-made transducer and system solutions for underground mining.

Sound flows through solid bodies as mechanical pressure waves. Transmissive structure-borne vibration sensors convert the mechanical tension at frequencies from <1Hz to >100kHz linear into electric signals. marco system solutions measure and analyse the signals for subsequent processes in the longwall application and displays any data and the shape of the face in the headgate or surface station system.

With our ceramic air-ultrasonic techniques using non-contact technology, we create signals to measure distance and to determine the position of objects. marco's patented "modular transducer" principle allows flexibility in parameters such as frequency, beam characteristics, shape and size.

MARCO ELECTROHYDRAULIC CONTROL SYSTEM

The marco electrohydraulic control system is robust, compact and easy to use. It is suitable for plough and shearer faces as well as various types of shields and hydraulics even if combined in one face. The marco contoller has a range of advantages:
