American Mine Research was excited to participate in this years Bluefield Coal Show which was held September 12-14th at the Brushfork Armory in Bluefield, West Virginia. 'A coal show for coal people,' the event was complete with vendors from all over the world who supply the coal mining industry. The show drew over 6,000 attendees who came to see the latest technology the mining industry has to offer.

The Coal Show presented AMR with an exciting opportunity to debut its latest developments, which included our mine net tracking and communications system and a new line-up of PROs. The tracking system uses smart readers, tags and the mine messenger to allow mine operators to track the movement of miners and equipment and to send and receive messages from underground.

We had a demonstration of our unique system available for observation and were thrilled with the amount of positive feedback we received. In addition, we were able to demonstrate the new line of PROs, which included the GM-PRO (ground monitor), CB-PRO (circuit breaker) and the BC-PRO (belt control).

Members of management, sales, engineering, field service and Repair were on hand to speak with our customers and casual observers about any interests they may have had or to answer any questions. AMR was pleased with the turnout and believes that this was one of the best years yet for the Coal Show. Several of our distributors were also able to make it to the show including: Power Technologies, A&A Resources, Intermountain Electronics, and State Electric.
