Rajant Corporation, the pioneer of Kinetic Mesh Networks and provider of pervasive, multi-frequency wireless solutions, has announced that it will sponsor the August meeting of the Arizona Mining Alliance, a group of businesses, professional organizations and individuals dedicated to informing and educating legislators as well as local communities about all aspects of the Arizona mining industry.

The Alliance works closely with the Arizona Legislative Mining Caucus, a coalition of state representatives and senators, to provide ongoing information and expertise, such as those involving large open pits, underground operations, quarries, aggregate mines and the like. Topics of discussion will include job growth, the availability of mineral and water rights, and other industry concerns.

“Rajant Corporation is pleased to sponsor the Arizona Mining Alliance event,” said Frank Olivieri, Rajant director of business development. “The event allows communities to learn more about new and ongoing industry projects and to stay current on mining initiatives. With over 73,000 jobs resulting from copper mining and several hundred direct coal jobs in northeastern Arizona last year, the meeting is vital to the vibrancy of the Arizona mining industry.”

A technology that supports mine-wide facility communication, Rajant BreadCrumb® wireless portable mesh networking nodes and InstaMesh software enable mines to reliably operate all data communication over a common wireless infrastructure with no single point of failure. Each BreadCrumb node is an intelligent repeater, a wireless access point, and a wireless-to-wired bridge. Specifically designed for mobility and the harsh rugged environments of mining and military applications, they are available in various frequency bands and can be battery or DC powered.
