Ionic Solutions produces, and markets, a wide range of performance additives for the extractives, oil, pulp and paper, sugar processing and wastewater treatment industries, predominantly under the Aquisol brand. We specialise in flocculants, coagulants, cationic coagulants, anionic flocculants, polyamines, polydadmacs, dicyandiamide and effluent treatment

PROCESS ADDITIVES

Our commitment to the research and development of process additives has led to continual investment in both internal infrastructure and highly experienced personnel. Both afford us the ability to develop and provide bespoke industry specific solutions.

The products mentioned below are used as primary products across a range of market sectors.

FLOCCULANTS

Anionic, cationic and non-ionic flocculants available in solid grade powders, liquid dispersions and high activity emulsion forms. The range of products offered provides a full series of varying charge densities and molecular weight spreads.

COAGULANTS

Polyamine, polyDADMAC derivatives. A full range of polyamines and polyDADMACS with varying molecular weights including fractionated products with very tight molecular chain-length spread. Incorporated into the range are blended products, including both organic and inorganic compounds.

DISPERSANTS

Comprehensive range of dispersants, with a varying range of molecular weight for specific applications such as kaolin and clay dispersion. These can also be used in other markets as for the prevention and reduction of scale formation and as sequestering agents.

Our expertise in polymer chemistry delivers a range of performance additives for: clarification, flotation, filtration, scale inhibition, general flocculation, sedimentation, centrifugation and avoidance and destruction of foam. Our Aquisol range of coagulants and flocculants are widely used in mining and extractive industries and the range is supported by the following.

ANTI-DUSTING AIDS

Anti-dusting aids are performance additives designed to prevent the airborne dust associated with stockpiles, mine transport and conveyors, specifically conveyor transfer points.

ANTIFOAMS

Antifoams are used to control and prevent the build up of foam in both general, and specific, industrial applications.

BINDERS AND BRIQUETTING

We offer binders and briquetting additives specifically developed for the minerals industry.

FLOC BLOCKS

Anionic and cationic floc-blocks for smaller applications such as wheel wash sites, mine run-off water or sites where power is not readily available for conventional flocculants.

SURFACE ACTIVE AGENTS

Products intended for the reduction of liquid surface-tension. They are extensively used in the reduction of humidity on mineral filters and, in particular, horizontal and rotary vacuum-filters.
