Active Chemicals supplies technology and speciality process chemicals to African industry, mines and water treatment authorities. The major products, which we supply at present, are as follows:

Our products and services are currently offered to South Africa and a selection of African countries (Mali, Ghana, Guinea, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe.)

In Southern Africa, some of the large mining companies we supply include AngloGold Ashanti, Harmony, Goldfields and Durban Roodepoort Deep. We also supply large potable water producers such as Cape Town Metropolitan Council, Umgeni Water, Rand Water, Harare Council, Brits and East London Municipalities. Active Chemicals is a registered supplier to the electricity producer, Eskom, for water treatment chemicals and service as well as several large fruit juice processors.

CHEMVIRON ACTIVATED CARBON

We currently supply Chemviron activated carbon to AngloGold Ashanti and Goldfields in Ghana. Our xanthates are currently used by KCM and Mopani Mines in Zambia, AngloGold Ashanti at Vaal River and Golden Star Resources in Ghana. Chinese grinding balls are being supplied to Burkina Faso and have been supplied to AngloGold Ashanti in South Africa and Goldfields in Ghana.

There are also many smaller mining companies and small industries who buy products and technical support from us.

QUALITY CONTROL

Quality control on our products is generally performed by the manufacturers, who supply certificates of analysis on request. When necessary, local quality checks can be carried out at a large laboratory in Johannesburg.

Active Chemicals is very competitively positioned in an aggressively priced market. Costs are kept low by sub-contracting all services (shipping, clearing and forwarding, warehousing, distribution of products and laboratory services). The products which we sell are specialized and specific, and so we do not have a standard price list for our customers. Prices are quoted on request for specific applications.
