Wiring Harnesses Australia (WHA) produces high-quality wiring systems for the mining industry. WHA's wiring systems provide solutions for mining machinery and equipment that is cost-effective, efficient and finished to a high standard.
With years of experience in managing large projects, WHA is recognised as an industry leader in the field of wiring solutions.
WHA offers wire printing, printed labels and trace colours, so that cables are easily identified. Our products are weather-proof, flame and chemical-retardant, flexible and robust, chemical-tolerant and meet OEM standards.
We use high-quality wire from bare copper and tin copper for highly corrosive conditions that is temperature rated from 125ºC to 150ºC.
GXL thin wall wire is intended for use in engine compartments where higher heat resistance is required according to SAE J-1128. The specification of these wires complies with Meets MIL-85B and MS-8900 standards. The conductor used is standard bare copper, insulated by crosslink polyethylene, and is temperature rated from -40ºC to 125ºC.
Much like the GXL version, SXL automotive primary wiring is used in engine compartments which require higher heat resistance, in accordance with SAE J-1128. Unlike the GXL wire, the SXL's specification complies with Meets MIL-85A and MS-5919 conventions. Again standard bare copper is used, crosslink polyethylene insulation is used and it is temperature rated from -40 ºC to 125ºC.
Our UL 3173 / UL 3195 / UL 3196 range of hook-up wires is suitable for the internal wiring of appliances, coil leads, switchboard panels, lead wire for mercury lighting ballasts and power operated dispensing units (where exposed to fuel vapours), as well as class B motor lead wire. Soft annealed stranded tin copper is used as a conductor, with insulation provided from crosslink polyethylene. These hook-up wires are temperature rated at 125ºC (UL) and 125ºC (non UL).
Another option is WHA's XFF (UL 3321) hook-up wire. The XFF is a crosslinked polyethylene insulated single conductor wire, offering abrasion resistance, excellent electrical properties and thermal ageing characteristics. This wire is often used in appliances, transformers, electrical heating, motors, ballast and lighting equipment. A fully-annealed, tinned copper conductor with flexible stranding, the XFF meets UL 331, UL 3505 and CL 1503 / AWM specifications. It is temperature rated at 150ºC.
PVC is an ideal material for harsh mining conditions because of its exceptional weathering performance, moisture resistance and abrasion resistance. WHA's range also offers cold flexibility, fire resistance, and resistance to engine fluids - giving you even more reasons to choose PVC. Customers can choose from two grades:
WHA uses high-quality connectors when working on mining equipment as it is exposed to extreme conditions - dirt, moisture, extended use and vibrations that can push electrical systems to the limit. These harsh conditions led us to source our connectors from leading manufacturers across the globe.
We commonly use Deutsch branded products as they are one of the best environmentally-sealed electrical connectors currently available and can cope with mining operations. The main features of Deutsch connectors include:
