Mining cable types according to North / South American standards

Type SHDGC, SHDPCG, 2-25kV cable for the connection of shovels, draglines, drillers, etc. are available.

Type MPGC, 5-15kV, mine power feeder cables provide high-voltage distribution intended for permanent installations in underground mining and bore holes and in aerial installations, ducts or direct burial.

Type GGC, G and W 2kV, round and flat constructions are offered for pump applications and other mining equipment.

Mining cable types according to VDE standards

(N)TSCGEWOU 8.7/15kV power supply cable is used in water, e.g. for connection to dredgers, floating docks pumps, etc.

R(N)TSCGEWOU 3.6/6kV cable is used for the connection of large mobile equipment such as excavators and spreaders and for installation along conveyor systems.

Mining cable type according to BS standards

The following mining cable types according to BS standards are available from TF:

• Type 1 PVC insulated cables for wiring mobile equipment
• Type 7 640/1100V for use in underground coal mines
• Type 275 1100/1100V shuttle car cable
• Type 66 3.8/6.6 kV flexible trailing cables
