Ventilation for mines, tunnels and shafts

Ventialtion is key to ensuring the safety of workers. Poor ventilation can expose miners to dangerous gases, high-temperatures and clouds of dust.

Roladuct has vast experience in manufacturing tunnel ventilation ductwork out of our factory or on your site if quantity or location warrants.

Helical corrugated culvert drainage pipe and industrial downpipes

Roladuct galvanised culvert pipe is manufactured in a range of sizes from 203mm diameter to 2,438mm and in lengths to suit your individual needs.

The 4 ply lockseam adds strength and rigidity to a versatile pipe with many uses in mining and general industrial applications.

We also manufacture an extensive range of downpipe and collection hoods for all your rainwater disbursement needs.

Lockseam seam ducting

Round duct systems enjoy the strongest natural shape for withstanding both internal and external pressure.

Roladuct round spiral duct is manufactured by specialised spiral pipe mills in diameters from 76mm to 2,500mm and in wall thicknesses from 0.6mm to 2mm.

Add to this a helical 4 ply lockseam (i.e. 4 x wall thickness) and a very rigid structure is formed - the strength is equal to that of conventional formed duct two gauges heavier.

The machine-made uniformity of the Roladuct tube ensures an intact circular and smooth interior for low turbulent flow, with quality materials used such as galvabond, aluminium, stainless steel and PVC coated gal.

A simple installation process will reduce costs and the high-strength and long-length design results in fewer hangers and fewer joints. Visually appealing, this style of ducting is a great architectural feature for exposed systems.

Round spiral welded piping

Rolaweld is helically formed to produce a consistently cylindrical spiral welded pipe which exhibits exceptional strength but remains lightweight and cost-effective.

The continuous weld bead acts like a reinforcing rib and gives 10%-15% additional radial stiffness in comparison to longitudinal welded pipe.

Rolaweld's construction method and welding characteristics conform to AS4041 (1992) and AS1579 (1993).

Round spiral welded piping is suitable for:

The company also offers a range of shouldered pressure pipes which are used for methane gas and water lines in mines. These are available in a range of lengths and diameters.

Insulated spiral duct systems

Roladuct produces an extensive range of internally insulated spiral duct in round and oval forms for conditioned air handling.

Both round and oval insulated duct and fittings are double walled, consisting of an outer pressure tight shell, a layer of fire-resistant or acoustic glass fibre or similar insulation, and an inner liner of perforated metal.

Both inner and outer liners are manufactured from our 4 ply lockseam ductwork utilising premium-grade zinc-coated steel or aluminium.

Where only thermal insulation properties (and not acoustical) are a factor, insulated duct is optionally available with unperforated internal liners.

AGA-approved gas cowls

Roladuct offers a range of easy to install AGA-approved gas cowls. Made from galvabond, stainless steel or aluminium, our efficient and reliable cowls are available in a variety of sizes from 76mm to 1,016mm.

Flat-oval duct

Roladuct spiral flat-oval duct is machine-formed from Roladuct round spiral tubing.

The flat-oval shape is specifically designed for low head room and restricted space locations which cannot accept round duct.

This design has considerably less flat surface than rectangular duct. If the springy structure of the flat-oval is adequately dampered, it becomes less susceptible to vibration.

However, the characteristics of flat-oval duct parallel those of the circular shaped version closely enough that slip-joint couplings can be used.

Slip-joint couplings provide easier sealing against air leaks at the joints, a significant improvement over other types of duct connections.

Condensor and chilled water stainless-steel piping systems

A lightweight and cost-effective alternative to copper ABS and heavy mildsteel piping, Roladuct offers a full range of stainless-steel spiral welded pipe and fittings for condensor water and chilled water systems.

Roladuct's system complies with AS4041 standards and is readily available in sizes of up to 1500mm diameter.
