Polyline Industries - Polyethylene Pipe, Fittings and Installation

Polyline Industries manufacture and supply a range of polyethylene products suited for application in the mining industry. Our products include poly pipe, poly fittings (both compression and butt weld), a 12V welder for use underground, Flygt Pump Floats and polyethylene workboats, platforms and pontoons suitable for pond and pit maintenance even in saline or acidic water.

M110 12 VOLT WELDER

Polyline Industries have developed a 12V welder that can be operated from a conventional battery from an LV or IT. The M110 12V welder has been designed with underground services in mind and comes complete with a full compliment of dies to weld from 50mm to 110mm.

COST EFFECTIVE BUTT WELD FITTINGS

Compared with compression fittings the savings are in excess of 50% and fittings are reusable. Welded joins are as strong as the pipe itself and do not leak, eliminating water waste and damage to mine roads and infrastructure. Welded fittings are the same diameter as the pipe so they don’t stick out or get hooked up.

PLASSON FITTINGS

Polyline recommends and supplies Plasson compression fittings. Plasson fittings are manufactured to comply with Australian Standard AS/NZS 4129 including a pressure rating status on the certificate, unlike some fittings available for the mining industry.

POLY PIPE

Polyline recommends and supplies Vinidex polyethylene pipe. Vinidex pipe is manufactured and tested to the most stringent Australian Standards with only the best raw material chosen, not the cheapest. Vinidex are the holder of Standards Mark Licence number 1770 AS4130-2003.

SITE WELDING, PIPE SPOOLING AND INSTALLATION

In addition to factory fabrication and pipe spooling, Polyline can offer expert assistance with any onsite welding requirements. Polyline has a fully trained workforce, up to license level in butt welding, electrofusion, hot air and extrusion welding.

We provide welding and installation services for poly pipe lines and have undertaken installations for diameters from 63mm up to 800mm, and QA inspection for lines up to 1,200mm diameter.

Polyline also offers services in site fabrication and installation of a range of poly products including floatation, pumping and linings.

FLYGT PUMP FLOATS

With many years experience in mining Polyline has seen the need to develop a serviceable Flygt Pump Floatation system.

The floats are fabricated from high visibility yellow HDPE and like poly pipe is impact resistant, chemical resistant and impervious to corrosion. The screen itself is made from a thick walled poly pipe.

With the view to allowing ready maintenance, the pump is lowered in from the top and sits inside a protective screen that only protrudes through the float enough to allow the intake to source enough water to operate at maximum without cavitating.

The Polyline float maintains the overall height of the pump plus 20mm, unlike other floats where the pump is bolted to the underside of the float and has a combine height increase of about 600mm.

Because the pump sits inside a protective screen, it does not suck in as much mud or foreign matter therefore reducing maintenance considerably. Clients have stated that servicing of the pump was reduced from once every three months to once in twelve months.

POND AND PIT MAINTENANCE VESSELS

Polyline designs and manufactures a range of polyethylene workboats, platforms and pontoons which are highly suitable for use in saline or acidic water. Polyethylene can be light weight, corrosion free, UV stable, durable, impact resistant and chemical resistant.

These vessels are highly stable and given the qualities of polyethylene, make them a very good option for pond and pit maintenance vessels. Vessels are designed and manufactured to suit customers specific requirements.
