Weight indicators for tough weighing applications

Designed and built for the harshest environments, the X320 weight indicator is rated to IP69K, the industry's highest environmental protection rating. It has been designed to withstand cleaning with high-pressure water jets (1450psi) at high temperature (up to 80°C) from multiple angles. The housing uses a high-tech alloy and the innovative use of a capacitive keyboard allows the front panel to be constructed as a single piece.

Traditional membrane keypads are the weak link on most designs. The X320 keypad senses an operator's finger, whether gloved or not, from the inside of the enclosure. There are no moving parts to wear out, no glue to deteriorate and no keypad tails to fail due to vibration or corrosion. The strength of the single front facia increases the durability of the instrument, protecting the LCD and electronics from external impacts. The X320 weight indicator is made for the toughest applications and it has successfully passed drop testing by our engineers from many metres.

Truck weighing weight indicator

The R400 weight indicator is ideal for truck weighing applications with support for up to 16 x 350 ohm (easily handling a typical eight load cell bridge), alibi (data storage device DSD) module for traceability and networking via standard serial communications, Ethernet or Profibus.

Weigh in / out application: the truck weighing software allows for a range of operational scenarios all in one setup, from weigh-in / weigh-out to stored truck IDs. The dedicated Truck ID button and Print button simplify the operator interface. Additionally, the alpha-numeric keypad allows for easy entry of tare weight and truck IDs.

Multi-deck weigh bridge application: multi-deck weigh bridges are an extension of the single deck application with the addition of a summing indicator. The R400 summing unit will sum up to nine slave units.

Dynamic axle weighing for mining trucks

The R400 weight indicator with the dynamic axle weighing application has the ability to create weighments from a number of axle weights. The truck may be moving continuously at a constant speed or it may be discontinuous, waiting for no motion. This allows for individual axle loads to be checked and the overall load to be summed - applies to both fixed and portable scenarios.

Silo and tank weighing

Rinstrum provides a range of indicators and weight transmitters for silo and tank weighing. Indicators can be networked using either Profibus-DP or Ethernet or configured in a ring network to reduce cabling. Connection back to a PLC or PC using 4m-20m Analogue, RS232 or RS485.

Weight indicators for onboard weighing

The compact R300 series indicators are ideal for onboard weighing and OEM weighing applications. Specifically, the fork lift application software is designed for small hydraulic forklifts or any vertical lifting hydraulic application.

Tilt compensation: the R400 series onboard weighing application (K491) is ideal for specialist truck OEM’s requiring electronics for accurate load weighing solutions where the load may be on an angle. The weight indicator connects to a two-axis tilt sensor that provides tilt compensation.
