hrltesting Pty Ltd is a contract metallurgical testing and research organisation servicing the mining industry and specialising in process development. The laboratory has developed many patented processes for clients.

The most notable of these is the Albion Process for the recovery of base metals from sulphide concentrates and for the treatment of refractory sulphide gold bearing ores. The laboratory was founded in 1981 and its professional and experienced staff has undertaken a wide range of metallurgical test work campaigns since that time.

hrltesting can carry out comprehensive pilot-scale test work in its laboratory facilities, as well as advanced process modeling using a range of mass and heat balance software including Metsim and HSC Chemistry.

MINERAL PROCESSING LABORATORY

The laboratory maintains a broad range of professional staff in the areas of metallurgy, mineral processing and process engineering and in addition can call on specialist skills where required to support specific projects.

The laboratory has extensive process and pilot plant workshops and well equipped laboratories. The laboratory is equipped with test work equipment for most metallurgical processes and has the ability to construct and operate custom-built test work plants for clients’ particular requirements. All of the laboratory and workshop areas are fitted in accordance with the AS 2243 – Safety in Laboratories.
